For example, if you have Virgo on the cusp of your ninth house and don't have any planets in earth, you would benefit from a partner who has a sun or moon in Virgo which will give you the earth you are lacking. This will give a sense of attraction, although it may not be the heart pounding, powerful, attraction you would get from the first, fifth, or seventh houses.
Your partner's Mars in your ninth house can be like a spark of enthusiasm that drives you to adventure. You may want to sky dive or zip line together.But keep in mind that Mars in the ninth house can also lead to philosophical arguments. The ninth house is about philosophical debate on the rights and wrongs in the world. When Mars decides it's right, it may dish out orders based on that decision. If you disagree, a struggle will ensue. Your partner's Saturn here can either make the world feel like a more serious and restrictive place, or temper you if you are already an extremely adventurous person on your own.
