Mars in Cancer...

The most careful of the signs, Cancer rarely moves directly toward the things it wants. It is a cardinal sign, so it pushes to get its way in life. However, its self-protective nature often disguises Cancer's true intentions. People with their Mars in Cancer put great effort into achieving their goals, but it isn't always apparent to others. They test the waters before embarking on their pursuits. Never a sign to rush ahead without planning, Cancer knows that danger lurks everywhere.
