Composite Moon...

Picture
Look at the composite moon to see the
emotional tone of the relationship.
The house location of the composite moon shows what things you do as a couple to sooth yourselves and bring each other emotional support. It represents the area of your life where you naturally tend to spend a great deal of time because you unconsciously desire it for comfort and for the feeling of mutual support you offer each other. The house position of the composite moon shows where your emotional relationship is played out and felt most deeply. Because the moon represents the deepest part of a person, and even their unconscious motivations and feelings, this where you really feel that you know each other well. This house is where you come together at the deepest level and feel that you understand each other. It is where you both go for a feeling of emotional retreat and regeneration.

Composite Moon in the 1st House...

Your emotional reaction to the world, other people, and new situations is highlighted when the composite moon is in the first house. Likewise, your image as a couple, from an emotional point of view, is also a prominent factor in the relationship. It is a strong position for the moon in a composite chart, and indicates an important relationship. You support each other emotionally in your interactions with the world, new situations, and new people and this support is evident to others. You come across as a couple who is emotionally tied together because the effort you put into supporting each other is obvious to others. The understanding you have about how each of you deal with the world is deep. When one of you is stressed by a new situation or person, the other person automatically senses it and offers their support. This mutual support gives you strength in dealing with the world.

Composite Moon in the 2nd House...

Gaining financial stability is important for you as a couple, and the security you feel from it is strong. Together, you enjoy shopping and generally acquiring possessions. It makes you feel cozy and complete. Buying a home together and filling it with possessions gives you a strong feeling of emotional peace and comfort. The danger with a second-house composite moon is in living too much in the material world and feeling so comfortable in your combined financial situation that you stay together for this reason only. However, generally this position bodes well for relationships because this is a material world and feeling secure in it goes a long way to bringing peace and happiness. More generally speaking, the second house is about anything that you hold as valuable. So, values in general are found in the second house. You have a deep sense of each others values and have an emotional view on them. This is good if you share the same values. Then you naturally support each other's values and find peace in knowing that you both share the same values. If your values differ greatly, this position can be troublesome because you have a deep emotional reaction to the differences, which can cause emotional divides in your relationship.

Composite Moon in the 3rd House...

Discussing things is necessary for the emotional health of your relationship when you have a third-house composite moon. Communicating your feelings to each other is how you feel secure in the relationship. Everything is discussed and you enjoy analyzing and figuring out why you each do certain things, treat each other certain ways, or have certain reactions to each other. This position gives a desire for a slightly detached and intellectual approach to the relationship. Even though it is the emotionally-based moon here, you both try to talk things out rationally. Of course, it doesn't always work because the moon's emotional nature sometimes overwhelms each of you, and can end up communicating in a not so detached and intellectual way. Either way, this relationship will definitely involve communication. Even if it degrades into emotional arguments, the effort to work it through with words will always be made. Activities involving short trips around town, visiting relatives, or running errands together gives you peace and security. You may also enjoy any educational activities together or anything that stimulates your minds. You may enjoy figuring things out together or researching things together.

Composite Moon in the 4th House...

With the moon in its own house, the people in this relationship can get lost in the undefined, emotion of the placement, making many of the feelings unconscious. This dynamic makes the relationship feel deep and gives feelings of belonging together. You find security in the idea that you somehow have deep roots together even if you met recently. You will search for common ancestry or for people you both know in common. It just feels like there is a deep connection, but you may not be able to pin-point it. Starting a family together and putting down your own roots to build a conscious history together feels natural. It builds on the existing vague, unconscious feeling that you have known each other for a long time. The home and family life that you establish together is where you go for comfort and peace, making your home and family monumentally important to you. It's your natural place together in the world and you put a great deal of effort and time into making it pleasant and comforting. With bad aspects to the moon in the composite chart, the unconscious feeling of the house can lead to discord at home that seems to come from nowhere.

Composite Moon in the 5th House...

Your comfort zone is found in genuine, self-expression. This is liberating and fun. This is a relaxed relationship that finds peace in being creative and having fun. These are activities centered around expressing yourself, and with the composite moon, it means you feel comfortable letting loose, being yourself, and seeking fun. As long as things doesn't get out of hand and cause financial difficulties or a disruption in your ability to meet obligations, this is certainly a beneficial placement. You see the relationship as fun, and feel emotionally secure being yourself. Vacations or nights out are perfects ways for you, as a couple, to feel secure in your relationship. Having children is emotionally satisfying for both of you. Children make you feel complete in your relationship.

Composite Moon in the 6th House...

A practical placement that gives more peace and comfort to a relationship than it might seem without stopping to appreciate it. The sixth house is about day-to-day life. It encompasses the housework, the meals, exercise, daily chores, the workplace, and caring for others because of obligation. But in its simplest form, it is about living well. By taking care of chores and obligations, eating well, exercising, and functioning efficiently at your workplace you end up with a happy, satisfying life. With a composite moon in the sixth house, your day-to-day life is where you find comfort, peace, and emotional satisfaction. In the end, daily life is what life really is! So, having a composite moon that feels comfort and security from focusing on living daily life well can be quite emotionally satisfying. The sixth-house composite moon isn't flashy, romantic, or dramatic, but it is satisfying, which means a lot.

Composite Moon in the 7th House...

Comfort is found in the relationship itself, almost as though it is a separate entity. The idea of the relationship gives emotional comfort, peace, and satisfaction. This is compounded by the fact that the composite chart is also about the relationship itself as a separate entity, making this a powerful position for the composite moon. By simply being in the relationship, you both find emotional satisfaction. However, this puts a great deal of weight on the relationship, and makes its success or failure a centerpiece. With the moon in this position, the weight is felt as something deeply emotional. So, the seventh-house composite moon indicates a powerful emotional relationship. Its importance is held very high and both parties are very sensitive to its dynamic. In the best scenario, this makes both people respect the relationship and enjoy the security and emotional comfort it provides. In the worst, it causes emotional drama over who cares about the relationship more, or who is treating whom fairly. Either way, however, the relationship itself is always the most important thing for the emotional satisfaction of both people.

Composite Moon in the 8th House...

The eighth house is about value, power, and control in relationships. When the composite moon falls in the eighth house, these already deeply powerful issues are experienced emotionally, and seen from the perspective of the relationship as a separate entity from each person. So the value of the relationship is felt emotionally. This can be enormously satisfying because, in the composite chart, the moon's house is where the couple goes for emotional comfort and satisfaction. When you both highly value the relationship, you are both emotionally satisfied. However, if the value of the relationship begins to fade or become tainted, each person feels the emotional discomfort and pain deeply. Issues surrounding the power and control each person has over the other are also highlighted as an issue and felt emotionally. Because the composite moon here indicates that this house provides emotional satisfaction and security, it is important to keep the power and control evenly dispersed between both parties. Otherwise, these imbalances will be experienced deeply and will certainly cause turmoil that is likely to result in life-changing events, such as, divorce. Eighth-house composite moon relationships that keep things running smoothly and avoid deep fissures, are still likely to be life-changing in that they enable both people to grow and evolve.

Composite Moon in the 9th House...

This is a relationship based on sharing philosophies and ideas. It has a slightly detached feel to it that focuses on seeing the big picture in life and viewing things on their grandest scale. In the composite chart, the moon in the ninth house gives an "us looking in" perspective. It can feel as though you are on a ride through the universe together, jetting around in your own private couples' space ship. You travel, you learn, you discuss and debate all of the things you see in your ride through life, trying to sort though it all to find the greatest meaning. Emotional comfort and satisfaction is found for you both by sharing this journey. You always try to look at the relationship from the outside, and leave personal judgement and emotion out of it, but the moon being the player here, it isn't always easy. The moon is the essence of emotion, so even though the relationship always maintains a tone of detachment and a universal perspective, the moon can't help but feel. If it's discovered that your philosophies differ or you find different ways of interpreting the greater meaning of life, it can be emotionally difficult to accept.

Composite Moon in the 10th House...

Watch out! With this position, your emotions as a couple are in the public arena. It is easy for you to fall into the trap of having your emotional ups and downs as a couple become local gossip. It's best to focus on achieving in the public arena and doing your best to keep your personal issues personal. When properly focused, together, you can make quite a force. The world of status and career success is your comfort zone and so you are primed to conquer it. Finding emotional security in navigating the public and career worlds can help you achieve a great deal together. It's easy because you are secure when you achieve together and you actually find it comforting. However, taking this too far can create a disconnect between you. When the focus is on the world "out there", your personal world can suffer. You must make sure you still give time to the personal tenderness part of the relationship because your eyes are more likely to be focused on moving up the career, or social status ladder, which also shifts your focus to other people with whom you are competing for worldly success and status. Keep each other's feelings as primary concerns and the worldly success secondary, and this relationship can be one of the most satisfying.

Composite Moon in the 11th House...

Like the tenth house, the eleventh house deals with the outside world, the world "out there". The eleventh house focuses specifically on the other people out there and the interaction between you and those people, as a group. With the composite moon here, you are seen by those people as a united couple with common goals and dreams. Together, you feel that sticking together in maneuvering through the crowds of the world gives you comfort and security. Achieving your goals in the world and gaining recognition for your contribution to the world through whatever skill or talent you have to contribute, is easier and more satisfying when it's done together as a couple. You prefer to go into any group setting, whether it's a large social gathering, an institution like a school, or a government organization, together rather than individually. Together you feel at ease and comfortable in any social setting. There is likely to be mutual respect for each other's dreams and wishes

Composite Moon in the 12th House...

Deeply felt emotions surround vaguely felt intuitions, making the twelfth-house composite moon a murky and cloudy position. The most watery and unformed of the houses, the twelfth house creates an atmosphere of confusion, misunderstandings, and deception. The word deception implies that it is intentional and meant to do harm, but in the twelfth house, it is completely unintentional and used as a defense rather than an offense. As a couple, you may experience vague feelings of mistrust because the other person is always holding back from completely exposing their inner selves. This is why the deception is not intentional or meant to harm. In most cases, the person holding back is not even aware they are doing it. It's unconscious. There is an insecurity, and a fear of being exposed for things that the person themselves isn't even sure exist. This can make the composite-moon house, which is supposed to be a place of emotional comfort, a bit uncomfortable and confusing. The best results are found when a couple uses this position to enjoy a spiritual relationship with one another. In other words, when they simply trust in each other and in a larger reason for their union that goes beyond anything that can be understood with anything other than faith. When this is achieved, the twelfth-house composite moon does find emotional security here and it becomes a comfort zone for the couple.
