Venus in Scorpio...

People with their Venus in Scorpio value intense, emotional depth and complete possession. In relationships, they want to bond completely and desire total devotion. They are attracted to people who engage them. People who look them in the eye and draw them in with emotion are enticing and exciting. Those who seem distracted or distant rarely gain their interest. Venus in Scorpio people want to feel deeply and passionately. So much so that a relationship filled with disagreements and stress points is preferred over an easy going relationship that is superficial and detached.

Nice talks, activities and even physical satisfaction are all very pleasant, but without emotional depth, the Venus in Scorpio person will lose interest. If one of these chart holders is truly interested in you, they will try their best to get inside your head, and know you completely. However, it won't be quite as easy for them to reveal everything about themselves.

These chart holders want intimacy, and yes, they like sex because sex can be the ultimate in emotional closeness, possession and bonding. But, even more than a physical, sexual relationship, they want to know you are really theirs. For them to be sure of your commitment to them, they need to understand you. This isn't an intellectual understanding. It's an understanding based on feeling. Words can lie, and physical acts can be performed in a hollow fashion. Feelings are much more accurate, and once they understand yours, they have the intimacy they desire. A Venus in Scorpio person wants to be able to look in your eyes and understand what kind of day you had. They want to be able to read your soul without using words. 

Their desire to be close on an emotional level makes them vulnerable. It's the unfortunate side effect of getting close, and they don't like it. Generally, their recourse is to try to control you to avoid getting hurt.  If they can steer the ship, it won't crash. 

Control makes them feel safe from harm. Of course, this doesn't always work out in their favor. It's impossible to really control anyone, and when people are intimate, feelings do get hurt. It's inevitable. The intimacy they value so much can get dirty and ugly when they get hurt. These chart holders are never afraid to pull the punches when they are retaliating against the pain you caused them.

If you are afraid of being drawn in close, examined, and understood in a deeply committed relationship, don't get involved with a Venus in Scorpio person. Stick with an air sign if you want a lighter, more superficial relationship. But remember that even though it can seem heavy and serious, you won't get a deeper, more intensely emotional relationship with any other sign.
